Mitigation is the reduction of something harmful or the reduction of its harmful effects. It may refer to measures taken to reduce the harmful effects of hazards that remain in potentia, or to manage harmful incidents that have already occurred. It is a stage or component of and of risk management.
Stabilization services are the application of technology, equipment, and techniques to prevent or dramatically reduce secondary damages when there are delays or circumstances that prevent the restoration contractor from executing the cleaning and/or structural drying of the structure.
Water extraction means the same thing as water removal. Professionals use specialized equipment to remove large amounts of water quickly to limit water migration.
The process of removing hazardous, dangerous, or poisonous substances from the environment, or limiting the effect that they have on it. I.e. mold remediation.
